The Milwaukee Brewers are a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise with a rich history. Unlike most MLB teams, the Brewers did not originate out of Milwaukee. Originally founded in 1969 as the Seattle Pilots, the franchise was moved later that year to Milwaukee, the former home of the Milwaukee Braves. The new team took on the name of the local minor league team, the Brewers. The Brewers joined the American League (AL) in 1970, later switching to the National League (NL) in 1998 to play along with rivals the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and Pittsburgh Pirates. With one World Series appearance and four NL Central Division titles, the Milwaukee Brewers stand as a well-respected franchise in MLB. Today, the Brewers are led on the field by outfielder Christian Yelich and ace starting pitcher Freddy Peralta, but many legendary players have worn the iconic blue and yellow Brewers uniform.

The Brewers' greatest success came in the late 1980s when they made the 1982 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. This era featured future Hall of Famers like Robin Yount and Paul Molitor. Throughout the Milwaukee Brewers' incredible history, the Brewers have had numerous players leave their mark on the franchise.
